BOUTILIER NAMED ASSISTANT COACH OF BELLEVILLE SENATORS

SAINT JOHN – Saint John Sea Dogs assistant coach Paul Boutilier has left the organization to become an assistant coach with the Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League, the primary affiliate of the Ottawa Senators.

Boutilier, 54, joined the Sea Dogs prior to the 2014-15 season as the director of the team’s player development and analytics program. He has served as an assistant coach and education coordinator for the past two seasons. The native of Sydney, Nova Scotia played 288 NHL games with five teams between 1981 and 1989.

“We’re really happy for Paul,” said Sea Dogs President and General Manager, Trevor Georgie. “As an organization, we take pride in developing not only players, but coaches and staff as well. Paul has earned this opportunity by working diligently with our defence, and helping us to a President Cup championship and an appearance in the MasterCard Memorial Cup. We’ll miss him in Saint John, but wish him the best of luck with the Senators.”

Sea Dogs season tickets for 2017-18 are on sale now at the Harbour Station Box Office. Click HERE for more information.
