A radio broadcast of all Sea Dogs home and Maritime away games will be available online through the Sea Dogs website at www.sjseadogs.com/live. A total of 56 regular season games will be available to listen to live. Additionally, if you miss a game and want to listen to it a later date or time, you can do that with the click of a button.
Your Sea Dogs broadcast team will host pre-game and post-game shows. The Team is made up of many familiar voices from Maritime sports and junior hockey. Each will bring you their own thoughts, opinions, and flair to the games.
John Moore and Scott Squires: Home Games and Halifax Mooseheads
John has more than 1,500 QMJHL games under his belt, including the Memorial Cup. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge as well as a high energy passionate call to the booth.
Scott is a veteran of broadcasting having covered a wide variety of amateur and professional sports across Atlantic Canada. His hockey experience includes both AUS and the QMJHL.
You can hear John or Scott over the airwaves, calling your Sea Dogs games both at home and in Halifax against the Memorial Cup host Mooseheads.
Kyle Moore: Cape Breton Screaming Eagles
Kyle will be the voice of your Sea Dogs in Sydney. He is currently with CTV Atlantic and has spent time travelling the Maritimes with Eastlink TV, hosting AUS and QMJHL hockey. Prior to joining making the jump to television, he spent over three seasons behind the microphone for the Screaming Eagles.
Mike Sanderson: Moncton Wildcats
When your Sea Dogs visit enemy territory in Moncton, Mike will be your voice from the battlefield. If Mike looks and sounds familiar, it’s because he is. He has covered local sports for Rogers TV, including Saint John Sea Dogs hockey the past two seasons.
Peter Ruttgaizer & Denny King: Charlottetown Islanders
Peter has been a sports broadcaster for TSN, CBC Sports and has also covered both the Colorado Avalanche and hosted New York Islander telecasts. He has most recently been covering a range of sports in Atlantic Canada, including the QMJHL.
Denny has been the voice of the UPEI Mens Hockey Panthers for the past five seasons.
Peter and Denny will be the voice of the Dogs when they cross the bridge to visit the Island.
Peter Assaf: Bathurst Titan
Peter Assaff has been covering the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League since 1998 both in print and on TV as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Titan on RogersTV. Peter will be calling the games when the Sea Dogs visit the defending Memorial Cup Champion, Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
