SAINT JOHN – The organizing committee for the 2017 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft is excited to announce the details of this year’s “GM for a Day” program.
The 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft will be held Saturday, June 3rd, at Harbour Station. Prospective GMs are invited to register online for a chance to participate in the fourth edition of the “GM for a Day” program, organized in collaboration with all 18 QMJHL teams.
Each “GM for a Day” will accompany a team to the draft stage to assist in the selection of a first-round pick in the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft. The “GM for a Day” will be responsible for presenting a jersey and cap to their team’s first round pick.
“Investors Group has a long history of community involvement and the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft is projected to generate at least $1.3M for the local economy” said Peter O’Neill, Regional Director of Investors Group. “We value long-term relationships and the GM for a Day program will give young hockey fans experience and perspective into the importance of relationships on the QMJHL Draft floor. It is very exciting.”
