The Saint John Sea Dogs finished their final Quebec road trip of the regular season with a 5-1 loss to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada on Saturday night.
The Sea Dogs got into penalty trouble early and Antoine Demers converted with a power play marker at 3:36 to put the Armada up 1-0.
With under two minutes to go in the first period Brady Burns scored his ninth of the year when he flicked a rebound past Brendan Cregan to tie the game. Burt and Sibley had assists on the goal.
The tie wouldn’t last long though as the Armada came back with a quick one-timer from Tyler Hylland to take the lead back, 2-1.
The Armada opened the second period with another quick one scoring just 10 seconds into the frame to go up 3-1.
Saint John had four power plays in the second period but struggled to put much offense together.
Blainville-Boisbriand’s Antoine Demers would add a short handed goal at 17:13 , his second of the night to make it 4-1.
The Armada would add an empty net goal in the dying seconds to seal it. The final 5-1 Blainville-Boisbriand.
Mikhail Denisov made 32 saves for Saint John while Cregan stopped 30 in the win.
