SEA DOGS ADD OWEN MACPHEE AS EMERGENCY BACKUP GOALIE

SYDNEY, NS – The Saint John Sea Dogs have added Owen MacPhee to their roster as an emergency backup goaltender for the final weekend of the regular season.

The 17-year-old from Sydney played this season for Riverview High School in Coxheath, Nova Scotia, posting a 5-3 record with a 2.36 goals-against average in eight games. He appeared in four playoff games as well, with a 3-1 record and a 1.52 goals-against average.

His signing became necessary as both Alex D’Orio and Matthew Williams are injured and not available to play.

MacPhee is expected to dress tonight when the Sea Dogs play the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles at 7 p.m. and Centre 200. Listen LIVE on 96.1 NewSong FM or newsongfm.ca. Watch LIVE on Neulion.
