SEA DOGS MOURN PASSING OF NORM GOSSELIN

SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Norm Gosselin.

Gosselin was the Sea Dogs’ head scout from its expansion season of 2005-06 until 2008-09, and was promoted to director of player development for the 2009-10 season.

Many players drafted during his tenure went on to play key roles in the Sea Dogs’ 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup title and 2011 and 2012 QMJHL President Cup championships.

“The organization has a heavy heart today,” said Sea Dogs President Wayne Long. “Norm was a key factor in the success of this organization and had his mark on many of our top draft picks. Norm was not only one of the greatest hockey men I’ve ever met, but he was also such a great person.”

The entire Saint John Sea Dogs organization would like to offer deepest sympathies to Gosselin’s family and friends.
