SEA DOGS RECALL IAN SMALLWOOD

SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs have recalled defenceman Ian Smallwood from the Woodstock Slammers of the Maritime Hockey League (MHL).

Smallwood, who turned 18 in January, just completed his first season with the Slammers, posting three goals, 16 points and 27 penalty minutes in 49 games.

The native of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, also has one goal in seven games with the Sea Dogs this season.¬† Originally selected in the ninth round (159th overall) of the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft, Smallwood has one goal and one assist in 18 career games with Saint John.
