SEA DOGS SIGN C NICK DEAKIN-POOT

SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs have signed 18-year-old centre Nick Deakin-Poot and added him to the active roster.

Listed at 6’4″ and 217 lbs., Deakin-Poot started this season with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League, posting one assist in two games. The native of Georgetown, Ontario, registered seven goals and 15 points in 52 games with the Storm last year. He totaled ten goals and 21 points in 112 games for Guelph in two-plus seasons.

Deakin-Poot was originally selected by the Storm in the third round (54th overall) of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.
