ROUYN-NORANDA, QC – The Saint John Sea Dogs announced they have signed forward Landon Quinney as a free agent.
Quinney is listed at 5’11” and 208 lbs. The 18-year-old centre posted three goals, 16 points and 55 penalty minutes in 69 games with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League last season after signing with the team as a free agent. He also played eight playoff games.
The native of Las Vegas, Nevada, is the son of former NHLer and longtime professional hockey player, Ken Quinney.
“We’ve heard a lot of good things about Landon,” said Sea Dogs Head Coach Danny Flynn. “Our reports tell us he’s an 18-year-old who plays a gritty, hard-nosed style of game.”
Quinney joined the Sea Dogs this week and will return to Saint John with the team at the conclusion of its current road trip.
The Sea Dogs’ next home game is Wednesday, October 19th, at 7 p.m. against the Acadia-Bathurst Titan at Harbour Station. Tickets are available at the Harbour Station Box Office and online.
