SEA DOGS TRADE LUKE GREEN TO SHERBROOKE FOR THREE DRAFT PICKS

SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs have acquired three draft picks from the Sherbrooke Phoenix is exchange for defenceman Luke Green.

Saint John receive Sherbrooke’s 2018 first-round selection along with second-round picks in 2018 and 2020.

Green, 18, had two goals and 15 points in 27 games this season. The Bedford, Nova Scotia, native produced 18 goals and 86 points in 148 career games, all with the Sea Dogs.

“Luke is a good player and a quality young man,” said Sea Dogs President and General Manager Trevor Georgie. “This was not an easy deal to make. It’s a good opportunity for him and we wish him all the best.”

The Sea Dogs’ next home game is New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31st, at 2 p.m. against Acadie-Bathurst. Tickets are available at the Harbour Station Box Office, or fans can save money and buy online.
