2022 Memorial Cup presented by Kia: Day 2 (Sunday, June 19)

It’s going to be a Sunday Funday in Saint John as 2022 Memorial Cup presented by Kia festivities continue. 

Sunday events include another day of ball hockey action; Father’s Day celebrations in the One for All District; and the grand arrival of  the Memorial Cup!


Ball Hockey Tournament presented by JD Irving

Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Location: Ball Hockey Pad next to arena parking lot

The ball hockey fun continues at Saint John’s new outdoor venue, which officially opens Saturday. The weeklong tournament features teams of all age groups and skill levels.


One for All District presented by McCain Foods – Father’s Day 

Time: 12 – 7 p.m.

Location: Area 1 Uptown (Grannan St., Canterbury St. and Princess St.)

Celebrate Father’s Day in the One for All District! With urban mini golf, Moosehead Craft Beer vendor, live entertainment and recurring fun activities in the District like street hockey, basketball, ping pong and more, it’s sure to be a Happy Father’s Day all around. 


The Arrival of the Cup presented by Kia – 3 p.m.

Time: 3 p.m.

Location: Water Street and the AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village

You’re not going to want to miss this. The Memorial Cup will arrive in dramatic and skyhigh fashion, eventually parading from Long Wharf down Water Street en route to its stop at the AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village. Various military personnel, veterans and military vehicles will take part in the procession to the stage.

Following the on-stage welcome and presentation, there will be a formal unveiling of this year’s military jersey, which will be worn by the Sea Dogs in Monday’s tournament opening game.

Photo opportunities will be available to the general public.


Memorial Cup events continue Monday with Fan Fest, Speaker Series sessions, Bash on the Bay featuring Classified and more. A full event list can be found on the Memorial Cup website.

Monday will also see the Memorial Cup game schedule begin with the Sea Dogs taking on the Ontario Hockey League champion Hamilton Bulldogs at 7 p.m. A limited number of single game tickets, two game packs, and full tournament packages are still available here.
