SEA DOGS AQUIRE OVERAGE DEFENCEMAN SACHA ROY

The QMJHL pre-season trading period opened today and the Saint John Sea Dogs announced the acquisition of overage defenceman Sacha Roy from the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in exchange for a 12th round pick in 2020.

Roy was drafted to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 40th overall in the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft. He played 104 games for the Screaming Eagles before joining the Drakkar prior to the beginning of last season.

The 6’0″ 192lb blue liner has logged 168 games in the QMJHL scoring nine goals and 20 assists for 29 points.
