Sea Dogs Foundation Donates $7000 to David ‘DK’ Kelly Memorial Bursary Fund

The Saint John Sea Dogs Foundation is pleased to present The Community Foundation with a cheque for $7,000.00 towards the David ‘DK’ Kelly Memorial Bursary Fund. These funds were raised during the recent Canada/Russia game at TD Station as part of the 50/50 raffle hosted by the Saint John Sea Dogs Foundation.

This is a very appreciated boost for DK’s Fund, and The Community Foundation along with #TeamDK are excited to see the very first bursary recipient selection this June at St. Malachy’s Memorial High School.

Donations to the David ‘DK’ Kelly Memorial Bursary Fund will be held in perpetuity, never being spent. The annual income earned from the fund will be used to support one or more St. Malachy’s Memorial High School graduating students annually who are pursuing post-secondary studies in a medical-related field. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated their community spirit through their volunteerism and/or philanthropic endeavours.

If you would like to contribute to the David ‘DK’ Kelly Memorial Bursary Fund, you can attend the Sea Dogs home game on Friday, November 22nd for the First Annual DK Night with special fundraising vouchers purchased at any Vito’s restaurant for only $10! You can support a great cause and enjoy a great hockey game.
