Sea Dogs Playoffs: Games, Times, Ticket Info, and more

After a dramatic final night of the QMJHL regular season, the Saint John Sea Dogs secured a playoff spot. After winning the 2022 Memorial Cup and saying goodbye to no fewer than 18 regulars moving on to pro hockey or other teams, this young team secured valuable points in 8 of their last 10 games. They passed the Blainville Boisbriand Armada, the Val D’Or Foreurs, and the Acadie Bathurst Titan and will play the Western Conference’s second seed Gatineau Olympiques.
The Sea Dogs enter the playoffs led by veterans Alex Drover and Memorial Cup champions Brady Burns and Captain Charlie Desroches all playing their final season of junior hockey. The 20-year-olds, alongside 19-year-old Memorial Cup champion Peter Reynolds, are joined on the ice by an inexperienced but impressive group of rookies. Seven of the League’s top 20 rookie scorers are from the City of Champions: Cole Burbidge (17 years old), Eriks Mateiko (17 years old), Pavel Simek (17 years old), Vince Elie (17 years old), Nicolas Bilodeau (17 years old), Noah Reinhart (18 years old), and Nate Tivey (18 years old).
With their playoff spot secured, the Sea Dogs (24 wins) join 2022 Memorial Cup participants the Shawinigan Cataractes (29 wins) and the OHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs (33 wins) in the playoffs. The WHL’s Edmonton Oil Kings have been mathematically eliminated (9 wins).
Come support your Dogs as they look to play the role of spoiler against the CHL’s top ranked Gatineau Olympiques, led by former Sea Dog Cam MacDonald.
