The 2022 Memorial Cup presented by Kia Schedule: Saturday June 25

The weekend is here – and so is a BIG Saturday at the 2022 Memorial Cup presented by Kia! Check out Fan Fest; take part in a community bike ride; join in on Maritime Day celebrations in the One for All District; listen to three Speaker Series segments; watch the Sea Dogs face the rival Cataractes; and end the night with a Bash on the Bay concert!
Fan Fest presented by Irving Oil
Time: Daily from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Location: Market Square Atrium
Spend your Saturday at Fan Fest! Play interactive games, check out Hockey Hall of Fame exhibits and grab some free swag from event sponsors. You can also purchase your Memorial Cup merchandise at the official retail store (second floor).
Curt Harnett Community Bike Ride
Attention cyclists! Join Curt Harnett, a Canadian racing cyclist and three-time Olympic medalist, for a community bike ride with two route options:
Option 1: 34.5 km ride – Lorneville Loop, departing from Moosehead Small Batch, located at 89 Main St. W.
Option 2: 18 km ride – Join the group at Lorneville Tim Horton’s, located at 40 Galbraith Place off of Route 1.
Time:
12-1 p.m. – Check in at Moosehead Small Batch
1 p.m. – Ride Departs Moosehead
1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Check in at Lorneville Tim Horton’s
Roughly 1:30 p.m. – Ride arrives at Lorneville Tim Horton’s for additional riders
Participants will be required to sign a waiver.
One for All District presented by McCain Foods – Maritime Day
Time: Noon – 11 p.m.
Location: Canterbury St./Grannan St.
It’s Maritime Day in the One for All District! Beginning at noon, the District will be a party all day long, celebrating the east coast lifestyle and showing visitors from around the country how the region throws a party.
With street games, ice cold Moosehead, and a Sea Dogs vs Cataractes viewing party in the streets, it will be a Maritime Party for all!
The party doesn’t end when the game does. After the Sea Dogs game, the Kings County Big River Ramblers will take to the stage followed by Jamie Comeau and the Crooked Teeth. The party goes until 11 p.m.
Memorial Cup Speakers Series presented by Deloitte – Mark Atkins, Cheri Bradish and Dan MacKenzie
Time: 1 p.m.
Location: Market Square Atrium
In the first of three Saturday Speaker Series segments, Mark Atkins, Cheri Bradish and CHL president Dan MacKenzie will speak on the business of sports.
Memorial Cup Speakers Series presented by Deloitte – Bryant McBride, Boko Imama and Mathieu Joseph
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Market Square Atrium
In the second Speaker Series segment of the day, Bryant McBride and former Sea Dogs Boko Imama and Mathieu Joseph will discuss diversity, equity and inclusion in sports.
Memorial Cup Speakers Series presented by Deloitte – Thomas Chabot, Matthew Highmore and Nathan Beaulieu
Time: 3 p.m.
Location: Market Square Atrium
In Saturday’s final Speaker Series segment, former Sea Dogs and current NHLers Thomas Chabot, Matthew Highmore and Nathan Beaulieu will participate in an engaging session about their hockey journey, offering stories and experiences.
2022 Memorial Cup presented by Kia – Saint John Sea Dogs vs Shawinigan Cataractes
Time: 5 p.m.
Location: TD Station
The rivalry returns to junior hockey’s biggest stage. Watch the Saint John Sea Dogs and Shawinigan Cataractes hit the ice in the final game of the round-robin. Tickets are still available.
Port Saint John Partners presents Bash on the Bay in association with Envision Saint John – Matt Mays / Villages presented by Canpotex
Time: Gates open at 8 p.m.
Location: AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village
It’s a post-game Bash on the Bay! Watch Matt Mays and Villages take to the stage at the Area 506 Waterfront Container Village. Admission is free, but Memorial Cup pass holders will benefit from priority admission. Remaining attendance will be based on capacity.
